Oh yeah, and one more thing.
Whenever I get a vespa that isn't really minty I go ahead and hardwire it.
Whoever designed the vespa decided it would be a good idea that your bike not work if your tail light or break light filament were burned. On top of that the insulation on some of these wires is kinda craptacular. It breaks down with age and its exposed under the rear fender to mud and water and road grime of all descriptions.
What happened to me is that insulation broke down and a lot of my spark leaked and grounded on the fender so my spark was super shitty and intermittent.
That and you have to smash your bulb and twist your burned filaments together if it burns out while toy are ridding.
Just better to hardwire.
