custom minarelli pipe

i just made this pipe from a polini expansion chamber treats has athttp://www.treatland.tv/rizzato-polini-fifty-pipe-p/rizzato-polini-pipe-200.0040.htm

just welded my own header to it . and did a little bending.this pipe rips pretty good and its fairly quiet.i know there has been talk lately about people wanting pipes that arent as loud as the mamba etc i have a cimatti city bike and it was basicly a bolt on. i have a polini 75cc kit minarelli hi comp head from 1977peds,modifed intake and spacer (20mm),21mm phbg carb red foam filter and 10x42 gearing and im hitting about 50 on the gps

do you have a support bracket tho? shit looks like it would rattle off in no time due to engine vibration.

Re: custom minarelli pipe

^^^^ Yeah where is the support? That will break the studs almost immediately without support, or cause airleak at manifold and then seize.

Re: custom minarelli pipe

Did you spray paint that whole thing silver? It has to be mounted to the frame or it will bounce around and give you exhaust leaks... Potentially it will brake or bend your exhaust studs as well...

Re: custom minarelli pipe

ya its just bolted to where the stock pipe was bolted in the back right below the swing arm ,and yeah i just spray bombed it with whatever hi temp engine paint i had around. ill prolly paint it black when i get around to it. im gonna take apart the whole bike in a few weeks and sand blast it and re paint it for the spring (my old man owns an autobody shop which is very handy) . but i dont want to be with out a ped. im an all weather rider i cant get enough i even drive in the snow sometimes which there is a lot of up here in boston!
