yeah don't use starter fluid on 2 strokes. especially ones w/ brand new kits.
and not to be a dick but you need more practice.
start at the sparkplug, work your way back to the stator. then start at the petcock and work your way to the intake port. deduction, my dear watson. the dmp 70 is a good kit, did you chamfer the ports? it's a must. mine liked to leak around the base gasket. your probably going to need a roller bering crank at some point.
