well having something ' remotely like a polini kit ' is open to interpretation. the following data, however, is all fact, and cannot be disputed
1. polini cylinder is 360 degree intake.
factory gilardoni is ~200 degree intake + a smaller period when the window holes are open.
gilarini cylinder is 360 degree intake.
2. polini cylinder provides exhaust opposite auxiliary transfer ports via small side case top transfers and piston cut-away in addition to a center boost port through the piston.
factory gilardoni does not provide auxiliary transfer ports via small side case level top transfers, only a single top transfer with two small holes.
gilarini provides an exhaust opposite auxiliary transfer port via a small case and cylinder cutaway combined with a modified piston.
3. polini cylinder has 7 transfer ports and 1 exhaust port active at bottom dead center.
factory gilardoni cylinder has 5 transfer ports and 1 exhaust port active at bottom dead center.
gilarini provides 7 transfer ports and 1 exhaust port active at bottom dead center.
so while it may not be 'remotely like a polini kit' you can't argue the fact that it now shares three characteristics with the polini kit when before it differentiated from it.
