Holy crap...I just got my PROMA in today and installed in about 30 min`s....What a sweet pipe this is....Alittle loud but I can deal with,don`t know about the neighbors though...Have to do a few more plug chops to check jetting before I do any WFO runs....70cc kit, Proma pipe,jetted sock carb. needle all the way up, cone type airfilter, 82 Urban.....I`ll get some pic`s up....This things rips through the bottom and big in the middle.....Needs another gear it seems....Single speed...
i thought all urban expresses were variated?
I thought one year they had a 2 speed...I may be wrong though but man it feels like It needs another gear.....
To go faster on the top, you will have to modify the variator. Search express variator mod. There are a few posts on this. IRE Rick has some excellent photos of the mod. You will also need to run lighter weights. I run six 3 gram weights.
variator > one or two speed. you just need to mess with it is all.

I did change some of the weights around...It must still be locking up too quick then....
