it's been a while since justine has blasted. there is a 14.14 dellorto carb at the shop which was senda's stock carb. sure to "blast" the SHA. Want to ride this weekend and get super blasted justine/zack?

timed this yesterday, runs pretty good aside from scary metal-icky noises
by timed this do you mean took the stator off, dremmeled the holes, then rotated for full advance? Thats what I do.
metal icky as in scary bad? i know with the old tccd's you had to have a few extra base gaskets so that the piston wouldnt tap the head. though thats assuming the kstar has the same problem, which im not sure of.

the scary noise i think is coming from the clutch side. Whatev's ima just blast till it blows up.
i only got it to like 1.3/4. ima wait till i get a proper carb on there to super blast.
its such a big difference with the crappy sha. No acceleration and no serious blasting powerband.

i set the ring gap so thats ok, and its not a new kit. i need the clutch to slip lots more, so its just all the time full throttle.
you are never going to get the proper power with that small carb to get the kind of clutch slop you want. You gotta go bigger.
I doubt the bearing is bad, I'd guess one of the clutch circlips is loose or fell, so its all rattle-y.
