magnum xk stock , i check the point and timing its running ok not doing the 30 it was, but its 25 now just when i stop at the first stop sign and go agian it boggs out then its peddle start peddle start after that . if im not stoping over n over its fine i trashed the skool turf two days ago all day long , does anyone have this problem or had im figuring its the jet but wanna check with u proffessors b4 i rip it out and buy a new carb.
You could try cleaning the carb, screwing the idle screw in more, and changing the needle to make it either richer or lower on the low end.
Is your sparkplug wire o.k., not loose or anything.?
Like a little, you can put some di-electric grease on the outside tip, and get a new plug.
Smaller gaps works for stop and go.
so make my spark gap smaller and new plug . linda im lost when it comes to the needle n jetting even tho i read your instructions < o and please post agian ty> its not sinking in my head damn this is the times i hate being a pot head !!!!!! o and i tried loosening the jet in the bowl and screw it downward but it feels loose when i do so i tightend it back upward
if its before the stop sign, mybe airleak?
no its after the stop sign like 50 feet feels like its fluiding but only when i stop and go

I like the clean your points advice too.
So:
1) Clean your carb (the jet and jet holder should both be screwed in tightly). Make sure you check for air leaks when you put it back together.
2) Clean your points
If those two things don't help, you can lean out your needle by moving the clip from one of the lower positions to one of the higher positions. Like, if you pull apart the top of your carb and you take the needle out, there's a clip on it in one of four notches. If your clip is in the second notch from the top, move it to the top notch. Then put it back together and see if that helps. If that made it worse, either put it back, or put put it on a notch lower than where it was.
You say it stalls out 50 feet after you start from a stop..it sounds like you are flying down the road, hand goes off the throttle onto the brakes, you stop and then go, you have to much fuel in you case for the little air it's getting at the low rpms when you are taking back off..maybe running to rich??

ya i thought that 2 but u are exzakery right thats how it boggs out i use a small bottle of additive and eezakery 1 gallon so maybe i should change the mix ? i also have the cup that came with the xk but it is old . im going to try what linda said . i guessing its the carbs adjustment n mix cuz ...
Don't snap the throttle closed, slowly do it, after you check the mix and carb and points.
ok tried it all and no snap and its still doing it i even moved the niddle up and down id have to say the bike ran better n faster take off but it still is boggin out only one thing left b4 getting a new carb im going to adjust the float
