why D egine better ,,,in what why, its has alonger stroke,,will it give more,,, what the termonolgy

Re: 505/1d veres 505/abc

The D is better for a couple reasons. Longer stroke, bigger displacement, higher compression, more aggressive port timing and just a better cylinder, and the clutch weight is different. Also the D's came with a bigger exhaust header, and the best carb that came on sachs, even though it is still kind of a lackluster carb. They were rated at 2.7 hp and with a few came with a 40 tooth rear sprocket so they could do almost 40 stock. Probably the best stock moped engine this side derbi, and MAYBE a really good running hobbit engine. A well tuned stock sachs 505 1d has no trouble blasting variated bikes. The torque they make on the bigger rear sprocket is pretty awesome for a stock moped.

Re: 505/1d veres 505/abc

Tate said it about perfect......... I have a few kited bikes, and my Sachs D motor on my eagle is about the most fun/best time you can have...... It is awesome passing people on their puchs with bigger carbs and pipes and them looking at you wondering how the hell a bike with a stock pipe is passing them.

D is where it is at. Period.

Re: 505/1d veres 505/abc

longer stroke. that's the difference, and that's what gives you different port timing, more torque and higher compression.
