i've got the crank lobes shaved down, intake bored to 13mm, and im about to get my port match on, but im skeptical about the boost W port.
should i port the boost window into the case, like the puch polini kits?
also, thats alot of port to the case, it seems the timing of the piston opens the port pretty nicely and it would work without porting, so im at least cutting some base gasket, does anyone feel putting windows deep into the case would greatly benefit this kit?

I took the port match for the boosts all the way down on my Vespa Malossi.
If you look at the pictures of the polini cases you'll see they come cut that way as well.

yea, they are on the race case's made by polini, i wonder why the base gasket does not have them, im fairly confident the boost port will work without porting, maybe it will have more of a charge with the porting, maybe less due to Decreased Crankcase PSI I.E. increased crank volume.
mark, thats a malossi cylinder i think.
cut the gasket and match it up. it won't reduce your primary compression too much. My ciao is a torque monster. And if polini does it to their cases, I would take it as a recommendation to do the same.
My cyl is a 46 mm Polini Kit with work done by Hot Rod Al here In Fresno CA. Al has a deep background in racing carts, scooters, and anything 2 stroke. Al also did all my case work(see atachment) and piston work
wow i didnt realize how much porting he did, i figured it was a totally different kit.
enough said, it will be done, but i have to go all the way down past the cylinder sleeve for this work right?
yeah. I cut notches in the sleeve over the boost transfers, kinda like on the mains but not as far.
