better tranny oil for clutch slippage?

Griffin Applicable /

i bought some d/m tranny fluid to put in my bike last week, the guys at the local auto parts place said it was the same as the type f, anyway they were dead wrong and the clutch grabbed immediately with this stuff and nearly stalled out at take off. it was terrible. i got some type f and it made a world of difference, but it's got me thinking that there must be transmission oil that will promote slippage even more?

thoughts?

you..WANT your clutch to slip?

sounds like what you OUGHT to do, is keep the fantastic tranny fluid, and get tighter clutch springs

tighter springs=slower clutch action

b&m = awesome grab

i want my clutch to slip more at take of yes. i figured there might be a fluid that help me with that so i can put off replace and tuning a clutch for a while

Re: better tranny oil for clutch slippage?

you probably won't notice a lot of change with a different oil on a stock clutch setup. you'd be better of turning in your springs a full turn or two. its easy. it just takes a little time.

Re: better tranny oil for clutch slippage?

Type F + Permatex Anti-Seize Lubricant = "Positive" Clutch Slippage.

Experiment with the amount of anti-seize you add to your ATF, too much anti-seize and you will have excessive cluth slippage!

Re: better tranny oil for clutch slippage?

i ran reg stuff instead of type f once i my puch and it did not slip as much as type f and i had to go ride down the highway on my magnum ( semi stupid thing to do ) and get some type f.

type f was slipperyer

Re: better tranny oil for clutch slippage?

I use dexron oil.. seems to work as well as type f if not better. Type F was rather old formula at this point designed for pre-1977 fords and was probably the most suitable and common fluid at the time.
