80cc Airsal, no case boring required

Re: 80cc Airsal, no case boring required

yeah, nothing too special. For ten more dollars you can have a gila. REEEEDS

Re: 80cc Airsal, no case boring required

yeah, but some might not like how close the Gila transfers get to the stud holes and might not want to mod their case. I have a Gila, but this would be cool for someone who just wants to bolt the power on and roll.

Re: 80cc Airsal, no case boring required

looks eerily similar to the tomos 44mm airsal kit. looks like same bridged transfers, head, porting and everything except the piston. the tomos one ripped hard! im pretty sure this one would too. seems interesting. i wonder where they found the extra cc's at

Re: 80cc Airsal, no case boring required

looks way too much like a55 airsal kit i just seized.... 2nd one......goin back to do a 50/50 project screw the airsal for now.......

Re: 80cc Airsal, no case boring required

I've been running a 70cc Airsal on my e50 for 3 years. Rips awesome for 100 bucks... Not sure if 10 more cc's is worth another hundred, but if I didn't already have a Gila, I'd buy this.

Re: 80cc Airsal, no case boring required

we have this kit on laurentz' a35. it ends up bein 46mm and ~73cc's i believe.

nice kit.

Re: 80cc Airsal, no case boring required

Im about to install this kit on an e50, looks good and solid, nice casting. Its not the same as the a55 kit, bigger too...

Re: 80cc Airsal, no case boring required

Sweet. Please report back with your performance with it. what carb are you running? Does is have a round intake port?

Re: 80cc Airsal, no case boring required

It has a round intake, 20mm I think (Ill measure again). Im going to run it with a 21mm race phbg dellorto, treats CDI and a tecno boss... Kind of excited to see what its got.

Re: 80cc Airsal, no case boring required

yea similar i said. used dial calipers. a55airsal round intake is 0.892in= 22.657mm. exhaust is 1.31in=33.274mm. better check your measurements again. Post up the 80cc measurements! i wanna see how they compare and if its even worth the extra scratch.

Re: 80cc Airsal, no case boring required

oops sorry my mistake its late. intake 0.792in=20.117mm exhaust 1.031in= 26.187mm post up those measurements reference!

Re: 80cc Airsal, no case boring required

Dan I might want to pick up one of these from you when i get back in town.

Re: 80cc Airsal, no case boring required

I don't like how the a55 airsal does not come with a head that has a squish band. Too much heat and I see too many seizes. I think a squish band will control the heat and center it more towards the center of the combustion chamber and expel more heat out the exhaust as the flame front can not reach the edge of the piston. Does the 80 airsal have a squish band on the head?

Re: 80cc Airsal, no case boring required

i saw this one at treats a few months ago. it looked pretty nice in person. the cylinder sleeve is really thin, thats the reason it fits without boring.

Re: 80cc Airsal, no case boring required

I dont know where my calipers went, havent seen them in years, so I ordered another set and cant take the measurements till it gets here. Ill post them when it does...

Re: 80cc Airsal, no case boring required

I was trying to decide between this kit or the 70cc reed valve kit for my newly aquired magnum. Ten extra cc's is pretty tempting. The 70cc airsal is treating my maxi pretty well so far too... We shall see.

Re: 80cc Airsal, no case boring required

I just finished port matching the case to this kit and the ports are a good deal bigger. As far as I remember the smaller airsal kit had almost the same size ports as the stock 2hp cylinder. The cylinder is very thin to fit the case but that should not be a problem, if nothing else probably better heat transfer...

Re: 80cc Airsal, no case boring required

They have a nice squish band looks like an original gila head
