promoting my CCs

Hey everyone,

I am looking to get the 70cc kit from Treats and am also going to upgrade my pipe. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what pipe I should be looking at? They all seem somewhat similar(thats my newbie head speaking) except some prices are obviously higher than others. Im looking for a slightly better than average pipe that will go nicely with the 70 cc kit. Any help would be great. Also, my carb is in great shape. Clean, well maintained new gaskets etc. But since I am upping to the 70 cc does that mean I need a bigger carb? Just wondering.

Thanks,

T

Well... Since you don't say what bike all this is for or what size carb you have... well, it's really hard to say.

If it is a Puch get the kit, an estoril pipe, and if you have a 14 bing jet upjet it and you'll be good.

Re: promoting my CCs

crap sorry. Its a Puch Magnum. not sure what size the carb is.

Re: promoting my CCs

also does treats sell estroil pipes?

Re: promoting my CCs

Those bikes are garbage man, just throw it out, I run a dump in Niagara Falls Ontario, my address is 4925 Jepson St. Because you asked nicely, I'll let you dump it on my lawn for free.

Re: promoting my CCs

or I could just ride it up there. I'll pay for gas, I'll even pay you to take it off my hands. I knew they were shit when I couldnt find any for sale. maybe I could find a nice fixed gear bike at your dump that I could trade you for.

Re: promoting my CCs

cuz I love me some trendy ass fix gears

Re: promoting my CCs

Find out what size carb you have. It's probably a 14 mil. It should be stamped on the carb body. If it's 14 you'll be fine considering this sounds like your first rodeo into tuning.

Yes treats sells estorils- though he is currently out of stock. They are very good all around pipes. You will lose some bottom end though. Of course if you are more into bottom end power he's also got the proma circuit pipe in stock right now and those are real nice.

Also regardless, you know you'll have to upjet.

Re: promoting my CCs

the only thing I see stamped on the carb is a 12. Could it be a 12mm?

As far as the pipe is concerned, I am looking to boost my off the line and overall speed. Do they Estorils effect the off the line speed. Look Im not looking to race the lil bastard, just get more power. Thanks for your help

Re: promoting my CCs

It's a 12. Most people upgrade their carb. You would be happier if you do the same. You'll also need a good high flow filter...

A great first puch kit is the Airsal. It's cheap and the intake and exhaust ports are huge... Transfers are just a tad bigger and it doesn't really require case matching...

Re: promoting my CCs

estorils are bottom end pipes, good for low and mid range, they're just meant for kits so they don't do that good in the low end on stock cylinders.
