I am going to order a kit for my hobbit today. Actually in the next 15min, any advice on which kit to go with. My choices are parmakit, DR, Athena, Mallossi, or Pollini.

Malossi for the money- and it's pretty sick
Athena if you are good.
I have an opprotunity to get the dr or athena very cheap.
I am pretty comfortable with my hobbit as far as tuning and such
The Athena is kinda pro- as in you will need to do some work on the bikes head to get it to work properly- I haven't done it, but I seem to recall this being the case. Also the Malossi is a better kit then the DR as far as I remember and 1977 has em for $130! The DR is of course nothing to scoff at as well.
Malossi kits are nice, but we had one (of 3) that came with a bad ring.
Parmakit is sick, great port map (hundreds of ripping miles on my NC).
Athena is the biggest, and has some sweet porting as well.
I do rememebr hearing something about having to do some work to get the athena to work right, wasn't it just some fin cutting? I am leaning towards the dr and athena because I can get the dr for 100 or the athena for 125
I'll take that athena for $125 if you wouldn't mind.
I will sell it for $140
Athena is the most powerful kit for the hobbit, but it requires you to mill a squish in the head or it will hit. Parma is the second best kit from what I hear. The DR and the malossi are very similar and a good deal for the price but you are getting a discount. For that price I would definitely get the athena.
I just got excited and ordered the Athena kit. Any info on exactly what work needs to be done to the head would be appreciated.
bore out a squish band in the head or the piston will knock.
Do you have an pics of this? I am not understanding exactly what you mean. Would it be good to get an express or urban express head?
I just like how you're asking for details on milling the head from guys who already have given you advice yet you won't pass along info on your kits because you want to squeeze out a few bucks from these same guys.
LOL- yeah man... Where are these cheappy kits coming from?
I just found someone selling one for cheap. One dosn't really equate to a cheap source. Kind of joking about making money on one, I have never made a dime off anything moped related.
I looked at some pics, I think I understand the squishband.
Any other advice would be welcome though.
Sure $140 shipped?
