Are the new circuits as good as the old ones? I have one of the new ones and I can't convince anyone to custom it for me. They all blow it off as a sh*tty pipe.

I love the circuits, but they aren't really very good pipes. The header is really small (OK for stock, sucks for kits), the construction quality is meh, and they hang low and scrape during hard cornering. Oh yea, they are way loud and obnoxious as well. Still thinking, the mating flange is crappy and warps easily, so you need to smooth that out to avoid exhaust leaks.

Despite that, they are one of the most fun pipes you can buy. I love it on my 2 speed polini. Rips off the line and through first until about 25-30 (powerband the whole time), then shifts to 2nd and is instantly in the band again, up to just over 40. Top end sucks (55 maybe vs. 65+ on a n8p), but who cares about going fast? If you really do you can sacrifice low end by replacing the header with something the right size.

I think the new silencers are kinda crappy, but other than that they look identical to the old ones, minus the super sweet "proma" stamp with flames and stuff. This pipe isn't for everyone and totally depends on your setup and riding style for maximum awesomeness.

Two of my all time favorite pipes...

I have a proma circuit on a aggressively ported stock #1 high torque cylinder with a 16mm sha and a dykes ring piston, it doesn't have much lowend due to the porting so the circuit pipe is the only pipe i found to even move the bike off the line. it tops out around 47mph on a good day and hits 40-44mph pretty easy has a very narrow powerband at 30-36mph and then just keeps climbing.

Re: PROMA PIPES

proma circuit is a good pipe.

Re: PROMA PIPES

Wondering why you think you need to downjet as opposed to up with the air filter and upgraded parts. I would think upjet, no?

Re: PROMA PIPES

Proma Low-Boy (single). Has about the same characteristics as is described for the Circuit. OK low-end with a nice mid-range to top end power band. Smallish header is good for stock but restrictive for kits w/ carb & intake mods.

Re: PROMA PIPES

Proma circuits are AWESOME.

Re: PROMA PIPES

I only ran it with a stock cylinder and 15mm bing, but it kicked ass.
