is this a bad thing? possible engine damage

So I am building my first e50 motor. I bought a bottom end and when i opened it up I found these two holes in it (marked by badly drawn yellow arrows) Are those bad? I was told it was a good core but they just look like a bad spot for a break. thx in advance

hi I don't know much about that inperticular but I know my e50 has them but the are filled with some black stuff, kinda looks like an adhesive. I'm sure you can do something about that.

Re: is this a bad thing? possible engine damage

one on the right allows lubage on the bearing behind it. if you crack the case you'll see its a channel that goes back. i dont see a hole on the left.

ok thanks the one on the right looks broken just shitay casting i guess. I wanted to make sure before I start complaining or cracking the case open. Well then the journey begins.

It is supposed to be there. It is designed for proper lubrication of the bottom end.

the one on the stator side lubes that bearing with your mixture. the one on the tranny side gets lubed by your type F. if the hole on the left in the picture goes all the way through your bike will probably hate you.
