bored an E50 for a 80 metra today.

Not that hard with a Dremel if you're patient.

Port match to come...

Re: bored an E50 for a 80 metra today.

damn that's cool.

what style bits do you use for that, the spiky carbide guys?

Re: bored an E50 for a 80 metra today.

How much material do you actually have to remove to run these? I would be too afraid I would have an air leak down there, but I guess thats what a base gasket is for. Going big port or small port? Seems like the metra 80 kinda fell off after the gilardoni stepped onto the scene.

its just a couple millimeters. I used a spiky guy to start, then a straight carbide bit, then 60 grit, then 220 grit. Take your time check the fit often.

Its a metra 80 small port. doing this for my friend.

Oh man! Paul dremels with surgical precision and patience.

Enlarging the hole from 48mm to about 51-52mm took about 2-3 hours.

yeah. I took my time, since its not my case and it was my first time doing this. but I'm pretty proud of how well it came out.
