I was browsing the web some time back and found this port job to dream about. I kept the pics but forgot what it was for. Maybe a Jet Ski or Road Racing bike, I dunno...
Multiple shots so multiple posts.
.........Damn
I would like to see the piston for this. Is it reed valve?
I believe thats from a snowmobile
I looked again and remembered it is for a road bike. Here's the site that has some more high-tech, cutting edge shit on high compression head inserts, exhaust power valves and more.
nice jug!
Nah, that's nothing. This is the ultimate ported cylinder.
ultimate porting = no porting at all
Direct Injection
yeah that 1st cylinder looks pretty much just like my doppler 50cc cylinder

Just bumping this to add a good link for some interesting reading .

Everything has it's place . Taking a motor as far as possible is fun . Fun has it's price , along with all else . Some do it for the thrill and some just for something to do .
I'm one to 'settle' for near endless reliability at a price of speed .
Still , I like toying with stuff to see what happens .
Ken's anecdote relates to a literal experimental cart motor.... And like he said he won races, so where's the loss?
Also, Ken loves to tell people going 30 is worthless, now he opts for slow reliability? Whack.
Plenty of hi-output cylinders last SO long. Especially when you really ride them, vs. just riding them in 2001 to get a potato phone video to post for the next 20 years on MA
Ken you should reach out the guy who made that FST cylinder and explain to him your feelings on 2 strokes.
Maybe this post is about racing. And race engines and race bikes. You rebuild those after every run.
I am curious tho, do we all look like ants from way up on that gilded moped you ride?
Looks like a banshee cylinder

WFFF
"performance"
Man Old Roffy boi sure has a "old man yelling at clouds" vibe about every thread on MA. He built one bike once and then tells every person on here that's the only way to do it. Sad really, but mostly for his post count.
I am constantly amazed as how smart everyone at MA is and how stupid everyone at a car dealership, auto parts store, hardware store etc. is. Just slickening.
I am sure all the smart people who post here know that this is sarcasm.
service at Canadian Tire is even worse, so they're the last resort
“ HEY you mOpEd kids get off my lawn!” ....O~O
Looks like a Crazy Wayne mutant lol!
