Does anyone know what steps need to be taken to increase the output of a stock 1.5 HP 2-speed Austro Daimler to the 2 HP version?
I know how to go about doing this on Maxis and Magnums and wondered if the steps are similar? I know I'm going to have parts availability issues when it comes to jets, throttle slides, intakes, etc.
I just wondered if there was some "magic bullet" on these because they're very responsive at low speeds and act like they could go fast. Thanks
Its probbly got a restricted intake or exaust.
Take the intake off and look through or stick your finger in there to see if its restricted.
Some mopeds are restricted by smaller ports in the cylinder.
Not much you can do about that other than port it which involves grinding and science.
yes,, got all the parts here.. 65cc kit made for that bike and the head.
You might look into a better exhaust and check your compression to determine if you want to mill the head a bit. find out what the 2.0 are running as far as carb goes.
this is the new cylinder for the bike.. also have the new heads
I have this bike here and they look the same.. this is a 50cc one but I have the 65cc and the gila kits that fit.

Thanks for all the replies and pictures. I will take a look at the exhaust and intake for restrictions.
Does anyone know where to get jets for the Bing 18 carburetor that's on these mopeds? If not, does anyone know of another carburetor that fits and has the remote choke cable hookup that has readily available jets?
Switch it out to a dellorto 18mm .. better life for you.

yes I like to be surrounded by mopeds.. I have 4 brand new hero puch here still got the plastic on the seat.. and I just got 3 brand new motors for them 2 are the 2 speed hand shift..
