Puch EBRs + stock fenders?

Anyone put stock fenders on the puch ebrs? (the cheaper set). Did you have to cut em?

Re: Puch EBRs + stock fenders?

the MKII chrome ones look they'll bolt right up without any mods..

i quickly tried with my stock Maxi fender yesterday, and it definitely requires a little modification to work, but nothing too crazy. my plan is to cut the side runners off completely and then drill a couple holes on the top of the fender to bolt it to the EBR brace i have on there. and then re-attach the other braces back on the wheel bolts. i'm sure this has been done many times before but am curious if there are any weird things i should look out for?

Re: Puch EBRs + stock fenders?

It depends on the fender... i think there are two different maxi fenders... and it also depends on what tires you use.

i used gazelles and i cut half of my front fender off... and it worked..

my other maxi didn't work at all with the ebrs.

Re: Puch EBRs + stock fenders?

I have ebrs and a maxi MKII chrome fender with fork brace. I'm also running Gazelles (2.25") with snowflakes. Absolutely no mounting problems for my fender or fork brace.

Re: Puch EBRs + stock fenders?

dude.

crome, yes.

painted, not without modification.

Re: Puch EBRs + stock fenders?

i'll have my patina one mounted by the weekend.. such a straight forward that it shouldn't even require thought. i will post a pic for the benefit of search when i'm done.

Re: Puch EBRs + stock fenders?

two holes drilled in fender, sides chopped off, stainless allen heads from Ace. bolted right up. i misplaced the small screw for the back, so used a punk rock spike i had laying around. happy with the stockish look..

Re: Puch EBRs + stock fenders?

Thanks for the pic, hows the ride on those forks compared to stock?

Re: Puch EBRs + stock fenders?

depends on your current setup. my whole front end was already pretty worn out and sketchy around 40. i replaced all the bearings and cups as well. 1000% better then what i had. solid to warp speed..
