I run a 76-ish on the same setup, but without a kit (an no, no air leaks), so a 70 on a kitted setup seems weird to me.
As EZ said, you don't have to drain the transmission fluid -- just get the bike at an angle so all the transmission fluid won't leak out when you take the clutch cover off. You're going to need a clutch puller to get the clutch off -- treats had them (dunno if they have them right now), or you can try making one. break>
_When people talk about air leaks, are they referring to leaks in the cylinder, the exhausts intakes, and carb? Where are the most common areas for leakage when putting on a new kit?_
Air leaks happen when two surfaces aren't sealed together properly. Anywhere you have two surfaces that touch each other, you can have an air leak. Cylinder/cylinder head, cylinder exhaust, cylinder/engine cases, cylinder/intake, intake/carb, engine cases, etc. If you're putting on a new kit, I'd pay special attention to cylinder/engine cases, intake/cylinder, exhaust/cylinder, and intake/carb. More info on air leaks here.
