wiki is a great guide on porting.
The slow cylinder has the most potential for the least amount of work (the transfers windows are amost twice as wide saving a lot of nearly impossible work)
My first engine was a ''B'' and with just work on the intake and exhaust and ''devil horns'' I was able to break 50 with the 10mm gurtner and homemade variating tuned pipe.
Now I have a heavily ported fast cylinder with a 14-14 and struggle to get to 50 but I have great low end...
