Why would you want to use an auto-choke when a well tuned bike will start with one or two kicks on a manual choke?

I use the original AC on my Std 1983 NC50 Express just because I'm trying to keep it original. It works good so why not keep it, but I wouldn't go out of my way to adopt one.
