za50 masters!

I replaced my pucks, but not before...

would you run it?

Re: za50 masters!

I ain't no za master, but NO

Re: za50 masters!

run it!. is it a kitted setup or stock?

you can replace that gear while its on the bike thru the tranny, but if more teeth get sheared then it Might fucked up more crucuial parts.

also, i am not ZApro

Re: za50 masters!

Your ZA has meth mouth. :(

...Were all missing chunks accounted for?

Re: za50 masters!

Yeah, but those teeth are just gonna keep disintegrating and then you'll have lil metal bits hopping around between the other gears chewing up everything else.

Re: za50 masters!

Jake Shaughnessy /

count the teeth that r on it, or that are suppose to be on there. if your goin to kzoo ill sell you one for like 10 bucks

Re: za50 masters!

How do those bearings sound and look? Definitely don't run those gears. Time to find someone with a ZA parts transmission for cheap. Most likely time for a rebuild with new seals and bearings.

please don't run that.

Re: za50 masters!

definitely do not run on that gear lol. if you can get one from jake for $10, do it. a 1st gear is easy to replace. especially if you alreay have it open for puck replacement.

Re: za50 masters!

Don't scrap it. JB Weld it.

Re: za50 masters!

FUCK NO!!! get a new one dude. thats junked man. hope the rest of your motor's ok. make sure you find all that shit b4 you run it again. that's a real drag. was it a bearing failure of the bearing on the end of that piece. i've seen that bearing seize and shoot the U in puch out of the clutch cover. find those teeth, count em. rebuild it good. za's are too cool to cut corners with. too hard to find parts for to thrash up.

Re: za50 masters!

that thing spins fast as fuck when it works right. hopefully the seven hoodiedigs are ok. those little spinny spring loaded cyleder shaped things. get that one off your buddy for ten, fuck it give that nice man twenty bucks. that shit will shred your whole damn motor. i seen a few za's bite the dust over shit like that. tear it down man. rebuild it. za's are becoming extinct.

Re: za50 masters!

everything else on the engine looks and sounds fine. It came with a polini which made me hella nervous since I didn't know anything about the previous owner, but after taking it apart it's plain to see that whoever owned this bike knew how to work on it. springs are shortened, clutch flipped, case matched, new seals... the dampers were probably still good when he rebuilt it.

There's definitely some wear and tear though, right now I'm thinking I'll probably go back to 50cc and put the polini on an e50. Maybe over the winter I'll tear it apart and rebuild it with a roller conrod and new clutches, then I'd feel better about running a kit on it.

So who's selling this gear for $10?
