Getting more low end...

Hey guys, i was curious to know the best way i should go about getting more power in my low end? I would like to be able to have a little faster acceleration, and not loose all my speed when i hit a random steepish hill.

is this something that a new exhaust and air filter will help with, or should i be looking more at my gearing or something else entirely?

Re: Getting more low end...

never owned a puch. But the best thing to do on any bike is deck the head (more compression) and lighten the clutch, so the engine will rev higher before it begins to drive the wheel = more power off the line. I believe for e50 folks use the 'paz three-shoe clutch' or something.

use the search function for info on these two things. you'll find plenty.

i would just get stiffer springs for your clutch and try to increase your compression for starters. but replacing the springs are not going to help you climb hills, drop a tooth in the front and pick up a circuit pipe i hear those are decent.
