Apparently you dont need the lighting coils to make spark at all.

If you really want to strip it down run the points off of a battery and only run the timing cam with a nut on it. Then you can laugh at the weight of the MVT rotor.

Faster top speed? Really? The weight of the rotor is mostly going to prevent the motor from reving up faster, not prevent the motor from making more rpms all around.

Faster as in my ignition system has been thoughroughly gone through simplified, tuned, timed and optimized for my setup...
