Does any one have wayy past stock length shocks on their bike? I'm looking at the 360mm ones from treats but will that just be insane compared to the tomos stock 280's?

I can't find the picture right now, but this trend seems like a euro-theme. on this one german site i saw a hobbit (~285mm stock) with either like 360mm or 380mm shocks, it looked pretty ridiculous imho, but to each their own! i just don't see it being comfortable to ride and hard to see if you're wearing a full face helmet. for you it's about a 3+1/8" difference in length, so depending on the mount positions which your shocks are connected will depend how much it alters your ride.
try cutting a dowel rod (or something like that) to the length of the shocks you wana get and mach it up first. if you really wana try & ride that style before breakin down & buying those shocks you could use some steel bar stock and try running it rigid.
maybe $6 worth of bar stock vs. $60 shocks that might work... ain't saying it's perfecto, but if you go with the bar stock and don't like it, at least it was cheap! (and i'm all about making cheap mistakes so i can still afford to throwa kit on dat bitch!)
this im my maxi, magnum swing arm, 340mm shocks i think but maybe they were 360. was kinda funny looking leaning forward until i put the magnum length forks to even it out.
spencer
All the dutch PA50 kids do it, but I can't say I like it. lots of examples:
good for jumping and being different not much else
i have 320's on my tomos, wish id have went with 300. but im heavier and was carring more gear. im 6ft and ride motorcycles too, and to me they even feel a bit strange. they put you up real high. im liking the low bikes ive seen, esp after rinding the maxi. but i do like the h/d settings.
anyone wanna trade 280/300 tomos shocks for 320's?
what color do you have
