chamfering ports?

Not sure what this means, please educate me.

Thanks

Re: chamfering ports?

Inside the cylinder you will find openings that lead to passages that lead to the carb, exhaust and case. The edge of these openings must be rounded off in order that the ring that slides over them does not catch but has a smooth transition from being in the opening and moving to the face of the cylinder. You can also round off the edges of your rings with real fine (400?) sandpaper

Re: chamfering ports?

my vespa cylinder doesn't have these? Its just a sharp- ish edge...
