exhaust

Should I get a biturbo for $109 or a tomos tecno bullet a3 a35 from treatland instead ($65.00). What is the better buy??? Any opinions?? Are these essentially the same thing or is one better than the other?

Re: exhaust

$110 for a BiTurbo? What a rip-off. Anything else is better for that kind of money.

thats what people keep telling me, but thats the cheapest I can find them...searched craigslist, searched ebay. What I want to know though is if one of these exhausts is superior to the other in regard to performance. If anyone can help to shed light on this Q id appreciate it.

Re: exhaust

They are about the same in performance and quality.

Here they have a wide variety of Tomos exhausts, altho some are not in stock ATM.

yah, I have been looking on treatland, I just want to make sure I dont get ripped off or buy the wrong thing (you know find out that the bullet exhaust is a piece of crap or something). you think the a35 is a good buy??

Re: exhaust

I have a Tecno Bullet on both my Puch and my Tomos. The Tomos doesn't really run right now so I can't comment on the longevity of that setup, but my Puch has been going strong with the Bullet for almost a year now. The general consensus on pipes as I've read it is that if you are looking at either a Bullet or Biturbo, you should get the Bullet because Bullets are built better. Biturbos fall apart sometimes.

SWEEEEEEET!!! See that the feedback Im looking for! Anything else??

Re: exhaust

get dmp/estoril

Re: exhaust

biturbos fall apart but i can't really complain i got mine for 25 bucks (needed welded). i hear bullets aren't much better but worse case your silencer comes flying off after some miles which is an easy fix. i did it with glue and some nuts and bolts from a hardware store. cost me 5 bucks i also re packed it which was also easy and 8-15 bucks.

Re: exhaust

Bi-turbo = crap, don't know about the bullet, I have an Tecno Estoril that = fine by me.

Re: exhaust

proma gp pipe from treatland

Re: exhaust

Just out of curiosity, what bike are you putting this on? Is it one of the ones listed in your profile? I'm no Sachs expert, but aren't you going to have to hack the pipe anyway to get it to fit?

Re: exhaust

yup thats the plan!! Hack away. Its going on the sparta. The pipe thats was on there is not very functional. Its a project that I m in the middle of working on. I am not looking for super speed (I hear that the clutch plates on 505s are weak) so there will be no carb boaring and the such. I just want better performance so I thought I would start with the exhaust. IS getting the a35 a bad idea for a sachs engine?? I was led to believe that it would work, at least thats what I was told from treatland!!

Re: exhaust

If treats says it's okay, then I'd go for it. I was just kind of curious because both Puch and Tomos pipes were being tossed around for ideas, and I didn't know how that was going to work out unless you were hacking it anyway. Well, that, and I'd let you borrow my Tomos Bullet so you could check it out and see how you liked it (my Tomos doesn't run right now and won't for a while), but if you have to hack it.... maybe that wouldn't be the best option :)
