Did he use the coat hanger as filer rod? I'm confused.
wouldn't that make it brazed and not welded?
i think brazed is with brass so not but same concept. either way nice work on his part i woulda done the calculations fo an expainsion chamber but what ever.
He used an Oxy-Acetylene welder to make the pipe. Before electric welders were invented this was the only way to weld. Its not really like brazing at all. Gas welding like that produces quality welds on par with TIG...far better than cheapo MIG setups.
