I have Variators on all 3 of my Vespa Mopeds. I have 2 Malossi and a polini. performance wise, I don't think one is better than the other or at least I doublt if I could tell the difference. durability wise, I couldn't say. Black ciao is pretty fast and it has been running the Polini with no issues. The only reason that I have the polini on the Black ciao is that, for whatever reason, I don't seem to get as much belt slip using it and the Malossi belt at start up.
