Re: How to install a boost bottle

don't

Re: How to install a boost bottle

depends on the bike. on a stock its rather pointless there are bigger gains to be had from easier things that are constant and don't need refilled. also what bike?

Re: How to install a boost bottle

I have a piaggio NRG, 2008 model and its fully deristricted

Re: How to install a boost bottle

Sounds like a scooter to me, not a moped. You are not going to find much help here, we as a whole just do not know about scooters.

Re: How to install a boost bottle

Ooooooo wow scoot scoot poop poop

fuck sorry that was mean yea we dont do scoots round here mate id just google it.

Re: How to install a boost bottle

Yep, this isn't a scooter forum...

Also, you're going to mess things up pretty badly putting dry nitrous oxide (that's what I'm assuming you're talking about) into any engine...

If you're going to do nitrous, at least do it properly instead of half assing it with some horrible kit off eBay. You need to put more fuel in when the nitrous hits or else your engine will lean out. It's different for a 4 stroke which you likely have, but still not good for it to be taking in way less fuel and leaning out.

Re: How to install a boost bottle

I believe you drill a hole in your intake and thread in a nipple. A tube will run from this nipple to the boost bottle. Joe

Re: How to install a boost bottle

Okay, it's NOT nitrous. It's just a bottle that stores fuel (normal mix if it's 2-stroke) and dumps it in when the engine demands it. So, let's say you're running lean in the top end. Well, if you're really winding it up, it lets some of the fuel in to even out the mix and give you that little extra bit of power you need where you need it.

At least, that's my understanding of it. Nitrous is different from a boost bottle.

Re: How to install a boost bottle

you wasted your money.

Re: How to install a boost bottle

its just a canister... they are worthless. they give you a little low end if you let it idle for a few seconds before romping on the throttle, once you get moving past 3 mph, they start robbing you of power since they add extra volume to your block. to run one of these you tap a nipple somewhere in your block. i knew a dude that had a spree, he got one designed for a spree and we put that on... you can deff. tell the difference, but you dont go any faster, from what we could tell it made it run smoother, but that may have been a pacebo effect.

Re: How to install a boost bottle

It's probably all placebo...no such thing as a smooth running scooter...they all suck!

TWO STROKE FOR LIFEEEEE!!!!

Re: How to install a boost bottle

just re read what i wrote... it was designed for a go-ped, but whatever.

Re: How to install a boost bottle

there's ~2 people in this thread that understand what is going on and the rest of you guys need to figure out whats going on before you slam SCOOTER LOUIS!

yea u thread a nip between your carb and engine on the intake then u run a tube to your boost bottle and before you know it you're done~!

this is for non-pressure boost bottles. basically an empty bottle trying to be like an expansion chamber for your intake. the thing is that if you just throw it on you're going to have to be extremely lucky to have it resonate at the right frequencies and times to actually help you out.

but why not- right?
