Benji has had an amazing system built that everyone is going to love. This CDI just bolts on and retains use of your woodruff key. It is both e50 and za50 compatible, you just have to switch the pickup over for your e50. You get insanely bright lights, but most importantly, insane power. Its got a variable curve, so you get good low end, mid range, and top end so you can hit rpms previously not dreamed of. My magnum, za50 polini, malossi, , n8p, blah blah blah was doing maybe 45. I bolted this on in about 15 minutes and hit well over 55, getting through my pipe's powerband for the first time, and did so amazingly fast. I then regeared and blasted just about everyone top end wise in LA (well my buddy did on Saturday, me sunday). I was doing over 65 and didn't top out. No longer will you struggle jetting due to shitty ignition timing. Life is much better now without points.

Re: cuperteen puch CDI review

i need one!

Re: cuperteen puch CDI review

i knew you could just swap over the pick up... we were just talking about it today

Re: cuperteen puch CDI review

when is this available???? i need it. bad. stoked!!!!

Re: cuperteen puch CDI review

watching this... I want one!

Re: cuperteen puch CDI review

oh my god.

Re: cuperteen puch CDI review

Will this work with a sachs? they also use bosch ignition. Do puch and sachs rotate the same way? sounds sick!

Re: cuperteen puch CDI review

gonna blow all your minds guys!!

Re: cuperteen puch CDI review

so is this better then the HPI CDI?

Re: cuperteen puch CDI review

Better if you like bolt on easy timing, amazing lights and all the other benefits of cdi. The downside would be a still heavy flywheel (think powerdynamo), so a tad more rotating mass. Also there is the price point, $99 vs. $205 or something for hpi with loser lights. So in my eyes, yes its better.

I have no idea, but it is certainly cheaper.

Re: cuperteen puch CDI review

yea $99 is better then $215, im just trying to get everything that i can out of my gila kit. i think i might try this out and see how it goes. once there in stock that is.

Re: cuperteen puch CDI review

Are we going to have a variety of CDI boxes to choose from, or will there be just one available?

Re: cuperteen puch CDI review

I'm not sure about boxes yet. We've tested a few, but I'm not sure which were ordered and how its all going to work. Benji?

As far as performance goes, my bike was hot on the tail of my buddies HPI gila, MB5 wheeled monster down in LA. His advantage was the 18" wheels, mine the 20t sprocket (but on a za50), so I dunno. His acceleration was better, but my 1st gear is engaging too early. honestly, why spend an extra $100+ for something that offers you less. I wanted HPI but was told to wait, and I'm really glad I did.

Re: cuperteen puch CDI review

Ok thanks for the input, if theres anymore of these left when there in stock I think im going to give it a shot. Points suck, thats one reason i was going to go with HPI CDI but since I've seen these they look almost just as good for half the price.

Re: cuperteen puch CDI review

These new cdi's are top quality and out perform the others Puch cdi units on the market. HUGE HUGE props to Benji!!!!!

Re: cuperteen puch CDI review

awesome. treats finally pull off what other moped shops have been promising for 3+ years.

Definitely quality. Only $99 for CDI is insane. The spark is insane, lights are so bright(50Watts!!!) and you can actually see the road. Ridiculous good deal coming from the one and only Treat. Zack and I already had our bikes dialed in and solid. Little did we know that adding this CDI would make our bikes rip even more. Definately going to pick up another one of these little numbers.

Re: cuperteen puch CDI review

whey can I buy one?

Re: cuperteen puch CDI review

when?

Re: cuperteen puch CDI review

† CH∆D † /

I just got my first puch. Sounds like a god damned good time. Is this life changing stuff going on? You guys seem totally stoked. Though I have no idea what this does. Though I want my slice.

Re: cuperteen puch CDI review

I see NOTHING :(

Re: cuperteen puch CDI review

WHEN WHEN WHEN can we get our filthy paws on these?!

Re: cuperteen puch CDI review

so advantages and disadvantages

hpi

less mass

crappy lights if you can't do leds

treats super thing

great lights

more mass

what about performance differences?

Re: cuperteen puch CDI review

) Cupermcnewbster ( /

treats is better, this shouldn't even be a question.

I presume it will be posted once the cdi boxes are in. There is a decent sized pile of everything else. Get your shit dialed in, then feel the difference.

If your bike is kitted, buy this for more reliability and speed.

Why its awesome:

reliability

amazing spark

power

brightest lights I've seen

easy to setup

woodruff key

can use any CDI box if the one you get isn't good enough

cheap

high quality

awesome.
