I remember reading a while back that some KTM clutch can work for a Puch with a few modifications? Anyone else remember hearing something like that? Maybe someone knows what clutch it was.

Just a rumour
From what I heard it has to be a kick start e50
rumor.
oh i c now i know why i needed that kickstart e50.........
i sell things then i wish to god i never did
NO need for kikstart
Do need clever thinking and other moped brands to steal from
I know of one bike in Sacramento running one.
And one in LA.
i had planned it all out for a kick start just never got around to it.
get the ktm clutch bell cut out the gear on it. .. cut out the gar on a donanar maxi clut bell. and weld that sucker onto the ktm clutch bell. then just put it on. and rip.
but thats how i planned it out for a kick start on a pedal start i dont no how you would do it. i guess a robin might have a few things to say. or a minarelli type style

I think I know that LA bike. I was told that this is in the development stages and isn't ready to be talked about.
RUMOR.
stop posting.
Yea..this is old tech...but there are ways around this .... is that ok squid...Rafter is my hero so you tell me...?
Wow, how did we get way back in time?
As far as I know Shaw, "you" done it first. That pinto I saw took off like a rocket even with Pat on it!
I like that it works well. But I'm more into long lasting mods. The Ktm puch set up that Nate uses mucks up oil real fast and burns out pads pretty quick.
I do like seeing smoke puffing out of the tranny vent hole at idle.
I'm happy with stock clutches plus a few twists or a braced 3 shoe.
Lots of mods to make great acceleration are possible. Don't talk about it, be about it. Then tell about it? Then we all rip.
Ok Rafterd...Im goin down to Oceanside to visit my best friend before he goes for the sixth time...Marine/Army...double duty...I will hopefully be back with good news...slight hint....Shaw
cant you just adjust the ktm clutches to be less agressive in the washer stacks? i have a v1 bell and puch gear welded to it with a cheaper $70 ktm clutch ready for my gila e50.. i dont want to burn through clutches.. shit
yes they are adjustable..however they adjust by the small washers..which in tern add weight..once it spools up thats a lot of weight forcing those pads out..if it doesnt grip, it'll slip. Not much you're gonna do about that, if it grabbed earlier everyone would complain about that too. Spooling up to several thousands of rpm's is gonna cause shit to wear out..the nature of the game.
Make sure you pick up the ktm fluid for the clutches..
That make a .. spring set up.
research youtube ktm mod.
yeah i heard the spring setup could help the wear... hmm just want to know but since i havent run it yet i will most likely be back later trying to figure out how to reduce wear or hopefully not
