Rookie starting a speed project for an A55 Tomos

I have a fairly new Sprint, all stock, which I plan to customize for the spring. I'm hoping someone whose had success with A55s could give me a few pointers, particularly with regards to choosing parts. What sort of gains can I realistically expect?

24 rear sprocket.

best 12 dollors ive ever spent on a moped.

i know of a flurry of others, but that should be the first.

expect a 5-10 mph speed gain

To begin with I would check out the thread the correct stepping stones to performance break>

First, in my opinion, get rid of the stock exhaust and look at these , a high flow air filter like the uni pod, and a new sprocket either a 22 or 24, Also you are going to have to rejet the carb and you can find the best jet by looking here break>

Then once your done with that you can throw on a new carb but the problem is to do a new carb and have it run effieciently you need a new intake manifold which you would have to fab up yourself. The A55 is probably the hardest bike to make an intake for from what I understand.

Then, the best part of all, throw a kit on that bitch, like the A55 70cc Airsal which is the only kit made specifically for the a55

Also throughout the whole thing CHECK FOR AIRLEAKS

Re: Rookie starting a speed project for an A55 Tom

get it running right

gear up

expainsion chamber

bigger carb

rebuild and new wheels if its bad.

kit

port

bigger carb expainsion chamber and kit.

unreliable bike that flys the 2 days out of the year it runs right.
