If it's like the ZA50, you shouldn't press the rod in. It will never be as strong again. Mine twisted after this was done and that's what killed my engine/ injured my kit.

They are sweet engines, having seen Shaw rip on his Z50 Chopper from Germany. The transmission pops out of second gear once the engine gets worn out.
