TCCD + spigot mount carb: solutions?

I assume others have done this. What was your solution? Is there a square-port intake that works, or do you round out the intake port and grind an exhaust flange intake to fit?

Re: TCCD + spigot mount carb: solutions?

Treats used to sell an intake made for a 15 dellorto, I just cut the sleeve off and opened it up to about 18mm. It is square port. Its about 20 bucks. It is shown here with a clamp mount, but you could also attach a spigot mount even easier with a piece of hose and two hose clamps. I attached a pic

You can just round out the long sides of the intake port to match the circle intake. The gasket will seal off the square edges just fine...

Re: TCCD + spigot mount carb: solutions?

Yeah I was looking at that, but it looks like to get the black treats intake I have to fit up against the fins I would have to grind off so much of the flange that it wouldnt seal.

Re: TCCD + spigot mount carb: solutions?

I have that exact intake. Got it from Benji. You just need a grinding wheel to make it fit. then use an exhaust gasket for it... I also used a little gasket sealer. No leaks. Works great.

Oh and you still will have about 1/8 of an inch of flange on the long sides when you are finished grinding.
