puch front 5 star sealed bearings?

What are you guys doing for sealed bearings on a front 5 star puch wheel? the od is 29mm, kinda odd ball. I cant seem to find the 12x29x8 anywhere. Do you just get a .5mm shim around the bearing? If so, where do you get it? Thanks

You should be able to find some here. I got some for my snow flakes and they are awsome.

nope.. nothing 12x29x8.. just 28 od.. what are the snowflakes? 6201? can you use the cup/cone axle on sealed bearings, or do you have to buy a sealed bearing axle?

Re: puch front 5 star sealed bearings?

Remember reading about some kind of spacer Chris Paz had fabricated for him at a local machine shop. Pretty sure that if a bearing did exist, he would have found it. Search "sealed bearings" and it should come up. And keep us informed if you find an easier and cheaper solution.

there are some spacers on this page. I am not sure if they will work. Open the link and scroll to the bottom of the page.

Re: puch front 5 star sealed bearings?

Ok, that didnt work. Go to that link, click on roller bearings, then click ball bearings, then scroll to the bottom. They have many different sizes. You are right about the bearing size, they dont make one that just fits in the wheel it has to have a spacer to work.
