by gearing, do you mean the spockets??? if so, the front spocket- smaller (13)= more low end..... bigger(16)= more top speed. back spocket- smaller(36)= more top speed...... bigger(45)= more low end..
How to mess with gearing:
Remove front sprocket. Put on a front sprocket with a different number of teeth than the sprocket you have now. Adjust chain accordingly.
OR
Remove rear sprocket. Put on a rear sprocket with a different number of teeth than the sprocket you have now. Adjust chain accordingly.
It's pretty simple.
You could also try reading the description of gearing in the performance tuning article (which I already linked for you once before in this post) or, to satiate your curiosity even more, you could click on the green gearing break>
You do actually click on these links and read through them, right? Because those take some amount of effort to put in there. I'm not putting them in just because I like the pretty color effect. I have no problem trying to answer more questions if you've got them after you've read (actually, that would be helpful to others, because then any unclear parts can be clarified for future readers), but you have to read the stuff that's out there first.
wow... i totally missed the rrrrr's in sprockets.. srry.. Linda, i like your wording much more..
yeah i will have to buy that. thank you for telling me!
where do i buy the sprockets for e50?
to get higher top speed what do you suggest?
sorry in my attempts to be a smart ass, i failed... but, uh anyway, you should really read the first response given to your original post...
wait... isn't top end more acceleration? isn't low end higher top speed?
Nope. Top end is top speed, low end is acceleration. Those terms are also in the wiki, foo.
