Doesnt take much to beat them top end, or even through the mid range, gettin them off the line takes a good variated bike.

well all four of us got embarrassed tonight by one. thank god my kit came in today, not a moment too soon. will an alukit / high comp head / 4 petal / 24mm mikuni / unrestricted estoril / 20T rear gear be enough?

Maybe, not off the line. You will need to do some heavy porting to make that mikuni work. It might, but thats a lot of carb for that kit.

i'm racing the fastest m4dasses in the country (that guy that posts on here all the time) sometime this summer, i'm hoping a two speed alukitted tomos will do the trick. i'm not overly concerned.

Tune the clutch, its all about how high your motor revs up before the clutch grabs. That or pedal harder.

well i'm on a two speed tomos. i'm going to definitely play with clutch spring tension to set the engagement. i'm thinking a really stiff second gear clutch that engages much later. we'll see.
