What adjustments are neccessary to put the Polini Vespa 75cc kit on a Kinetic? I know there's case modifications but i'm trying to find out how much i have to go through to put that on before i buy it.
Also will a Dellorto SHA 13mm carb fit?

more work than you want for your first time. think 65cc
where can i find the 65cc kit?
"this one is satisfactory.":http://quarterkick.com/engine/vespa-65cc-parmakit/prod_122.html
but have you put a performance pipe on it yet? have you variated your tfr yet? have you opened up the intake and switched to a 13/13 SHA?
think order of operations.
Vespa Grande variator setup is your best friend. You can get a Polini kit from treats and a pipe to match. Use 58-62 jet with that setup and a 13/13 carb and it will do well...
treats?
TreatsHQ, only the best moped parts store in the US
His store is: www.treatland.tv
but you can also find his items on ebay
keep in mind that the kinetics and vespas use the same engines... any vespa kit will work on a kinetic. the exhausts might be different due to chassis mounts.
if youre gonna put a kit on it, youll want to drill out and port the intake to 13mm. theres a wiki article with how to
ya. just putting on a 13 mm carb really does nothin except change engine characteristics and give you the ability to say you put a more expensive carb on it. it wont do anything until you drill out the intake to 13mm, so the intake doesnt act like a bottle neck. better yet is the 24 mm carb kit from polini, but they arent worth it unless you are planning on adding a 90cc kit and tons of ather stuff which would make your bike unreliable and a pain to start. personally, i would drill out the intake to 13mm, bolt on a 13mm carb, and put on a nice expansion chamber exhaust on. dont worry about a kit. they suck gas. best fuel mileage and speed would come from 50cc. the expansion chamber keeps more fuel in the cylinder and not out your tailpipe, and the only fuel economy reducing item is the carb. your fuel economy will be about the same, and you can easily expect about 45 mph out of your ped, with snappy acceleration.
Yeah, I gotsts the polini top one pipe, 13sha, hi flow filter on my bravo. Plus a multivar in the mail. The pipe, carb and filter bump up the rideability like 100% Basically you go from putting along to getting your cruise on.
Also, I have heard the grande head gives you higher compression. Anyone able to confirm/discredit this idea?
fred, what are you selling that euro kit for?
I am so tired of people saying that a 13 carb on a 12 intake is the same as a 12. i switched and it's just not true. The 13 is better. Not vastly, and yes having a matching intake would be better. But with a pipe and a Malossi Variator, I saw an improvement by getting the 13.
dccracing...45? on a stock TFR. I'd be surprised.
Fred, I too am interested in that kit.
