Alukit 2.0

well kinda... 1.5 maybe, hah... anyway so I have been running an A35 topend on my daily maxi for a while now, that's fun and all but after building up a Trac A35 combo with an Alukit and 15SHA (I really just needed any topend but cheap as they are I was like why not!?) I realized that that that little thing has some serious kick, I underestimated it. so now to my upgrade. I saw that the thing has super modest porting, one transfer not much larger than stock, an awkward booster, and a basically stock exhaust. I guess the extra 20cc of displacement is where the power is at on this thing. so I obviously wanted more... just a bit. here's some picks and explanations, what y'all think?

The booster is small, so I opened it up a bit... could have gone bigger I'm sure but I'm only gonna be running a 16SHA, with a polini 4 pedal I'd open it as much as the _Rear Feeder Port_ Before

After

The side transfers opened later than the booster, so I evened that out with shaving a bit off the piston where those meet... Before

After and with a window cut to make the booster stay open at BDC, it's weird the piston window was completely closed at BDC so this window adjustment keeps it 360

Re: Alukit 2.0

nice port work, im curious of any negative effects of shaving the piston crown the way you did, why wouldint you just raise the transfer ports a mm or so?

the rings may get more pressure at those two sides and maybe lead failure or somthing?

cool~SABAT!

Re: Alukit 2.0

Tell us how it runs, looks very nice!

Re: Alukit 2.0

it's seriously a half mm, I couldn't really get a good angle to hit the transfers either. this way it keeps the uame angle of the ports just a bit earlier.

Re: Alukit 2.0

*same

Re: Alukit 2.0

I haven't set it up yet, that's next week! I'm super cited!

Re: Alukit 2.0

sweet! I have the same kit. Ive Been wanting to experiment with this. So far I have just opened up the transfers. (not done yet)

I dont have a before picture but this is the after...

Parma knew it was good... hahah

Why'd Parma Copy me? haha, JK I know it is just a logical step. I just wish I had the tools to cut a set of second transfers like the New Parmas have, Sweet!

Re: Parma knew it was good... hahah
