Which kit would be best for someones first time kitting a puch?
metrakit!!! it's EASY!!!!
yup.
lol let me guess...thats also the hardest one to come by right?
I checked 1977 and there is no 65cc there as well as treats on ebay…. no 65cc…where should I look?
They only come up for sale every so often. If you need to buy a kit today or this week get something that is available.
Lol, why am i not surprised...as it has been said, story of my life!!!
k-star(kit for the people, treats)
MK 65s are awesome kits, you will be very happy if you get one.
Go for a 70cc kstar from treats thier actually pretty good id say youd have to find a jet in the seventies thou
also you can get a boss pipe from treats and thatll help you out with your kit also
sorry if im rambling O_o
lilbuzzed haha
I'd say either one of those, but it looks like the k-star is easiar to get.
A 70cc head and head gasket should work with either of those two.
I've been pretty happy with the Metra 65, but the last one I got was pretty bad as far as the studs lining up with the holes, and the intake and exhaust studs not being perpendicular to the flanges.
For someone that has a k-star kit, are the intake and exhaust studs threaded into the cylinder? For the Metra65, they don't un-screw, so if you snap off a stud on the Metra65, your only option is drilling it out.
The other thing is what your future plans are. If you run the stock carb and exhaust, and don't do any port matching, one cylinder may be better suited, but I don't know the answer as to which one. You won't get the full potential of the kit, but you can expect to get a slightly higher top speed and you'll get there a lot quicker.
If I were to get a 70cc kit, is there some way to restrict it so its less likely to seize?
A mild pipe will do it presuming you are not too far off on carb setings. The Estoril really puts a damper on high end.
the exhaust and intake studs on the 70 kstar are removable.
if you don't want it to seize get a roller crank.
