the swing arm cracking or what?
I've only seen it welded once it breaks. It seems like just adding material on isn't going to make much of a difference.
This is only a problem on the cottage cheese frames.
zack, cottage cheese frame? really? im not even gonna go there
racing frames, whatever. I mean the later style (well 79 and later magnum) which all have the frames with the holes cut down where the motors mount.
The 78 (XK and MKII) frames look like a freespirit/murray and are all solid where the motor mounts up. I've never heard of issues with those.
Swiss cheese not cottage cheese
bahahah. damn.
haha, yea now I see the mistake. I had the right idea...
Don't you box the lower motor mount area?
Weld a metal plate to the back of the mount.
Keeps the mount from twisting,
Anyone have a picture of a plate welded there?
yes, someone post pics! please!
