Any body got a good source for this where it is more cost effective than just buying a new polini??? I looked around and the cheapest I could find is 180.00 for a strip and replate only. Gosh by the time I bought a new piston and had this done I am lookin aty around 240.00 almost the cost of a brand new polini. Not good,not good at all

Dusty, post some pics of that polini. I'm almost positive everything on there is still reusable. Even the ring. I told you at the rally that my kit seized hard twice before. I mean I had to hammer the piston out after soaking it overnight in PB Blaster. It still has good torque and I held up just fine riding doubles on 18/45 gearing. Sanded the top of the piston where the aluminum flaked off and still using it. Bet yours will still run just as strong as it did if not stronger. Aslo, what ratio were you mixing? I've been running 32:1.
Also, I took a small file to the exhaust port and ramped it slightly towards the front (an extra half more than a standard chamfer). This allows the hot gases to exit quicker and caused my cylinder to run much much cooler.
Hey Ilia, Its fine. I was talking about replating my old cylinder which is toast. Pull a dyno run on the black mamba today and shes puttin out 8hp at the rear wheel. Came home and reworked the clutches and went up a tooth on the front sprocket. Think its going to be pushing 60mph hard now as the dyno indicated 55.3 mph and wasnt held at topend for more than a split second. Think its going to live. Also I am running 36:1 mix with high test because of the comprssion ratio is high 190psi. Thanks and remember spring rally here is around the corner. Keep in touch!
Awesome! Curious, did you mess with the ports at all? Just exhaust match? Also, could you tell Ian I'm still interested in acquiring an intake similar to what's on his bike. Gonna try and track him down on here, but here's my e-mail just in case.

I am port matched with the exhaust port polished. Ian is PBR look on the post in the performance forum that says Tomos 8hp he just replied on there. Good to here from you
the book whith the part #is over at dustys. it was off a trac. ian
Should just be able to go on HAndy Bikes and look under Tracs part but if you need the part number I will get it for you
