just curious to what gains/losses you got.

Minimal to mild gains on my Parma 50cc kit. It was worth it because I needed to weld on the pipe anyway, but I felt only a small 1-3mph increase in top end.
3 mph increase is pretty sweet for a free mod.
Honest 5-6 mph top end gain and big midrange power increase on a 80 Gila

I did it and posted pics in the above thread.
Enjoy.

yep. do it. I got no noticeable loss of low end but definitely got some extra mid and top range. the pipe kinda hits a little later though, making it a little better top end piece.
its not a restrictor.
maybe not a restrictor, but still restrictive none the less.
Doing this mod makes the pipe better than if you just bolt it up.
it's so weird the way they made that pipe. i understand they put that wall in there for a reason, but why go through the trouble to make a pipe that works well, then put a wall in it to completely change the way it works? why not build it proper the first time? so weird.
way better w/o.
I guess it's kinda overkill at this point, but hacked estorils become very awesome pipes IMO.
compliments of nate bandit I got my estoril wacked. I'd like to coin that phrase and make it official. It's not taking your restrictor or the dildo-thingy inside of the pipe out, it's gettin wacked.
It seems to be the general consensus that gettin wacked is a good thing. and are you serious about the 1-3 mphs not being much? every single moped dude wished they could cut up a pipe and gain 1 or 2 mph!
I made a wacked estoril copy for my peugeot 50cc as faithfully as is possible and it was way too low end for my taste. I shortened the header two inches and it is much better. Some of you guys could try that and then tell me about your results. Get on it!
Or shorten the mid section
