I use one layer of pantyhose clamped under the airbox and call it a day.
The reason I use the airbox is in case it rains, it will block the moisture from hitting the panty hose and creating airflow blockage.
If it doesnt rain in your area too much or you just dont ride in the rain period. Just a rubberband will suffice.

+1 for the pantyhose. works good. if you are paranoid cut off the foot and tie the whole thing around the plastic cap for 2 layers then hit it with some foam filter oil. keeps the rain out good.

its actually 2.25 and they can be had for like 10-15 bux at moto shops
they don't fit in the areas of all mopeds tho...

alright, today I mess around with it a bunch. I was running a 74, and the tiniest bit TOO rich. I took out 3 of the 5 screens, drilled a dozen small holes in my cap and was quite a bit lean with a 76 jet. pretty stoked to be playing around with all of the different equations. I didn't have to buy anything. and here I thought I had done everything for my carb that I could.
