hey if you go back and look at the coil pic it looks to me as if the lighting coil can be bolted onto the bottom of the HPI CDI

again: could a light coil from a tomos cdi be easily modified to work with the puch hpi cdi? would it matter that the flywheel spins the opposite way on a tomos?
The direction of rotation won't matter for the light coil.
As for putting a Tomos coil on there... I don't know. Try it.
Just try to get the gap between the core as small as possible.
For the coil you speak of, what is the voltage and power rating?
