Anyone run a gutted bi-turbo/derestricted estoril?

So Ive been reading about bi-turbo exhausts getting a little more top end after taking out the carbon pack in the muffler, however making it extremely noisy. I have also heard that stuffing socks back into the muffler in place of the carbon pack will still allow the same top end speed, without as much noise.

Has anybody tried or does anybody run a gutted bi-turbo and if so, how much of a difference in speed has it made from the stock pipe?

Second, has anybody de-restricted their techno estoril pipe? And as before, how much of a difference did it make in speed (top end) than stock?

yes open up your estoril. You get more power everywhere. I'd cut the header down as well.

yep. derestricted the estroil. Gain of around 3-5

i got a bit more top end without the packing. nothing too noticeable. it basically burnt out after some months. it is louder but its kind of a loud pipe to begin with. maybe aggressive is a better term. i keep putting fiberglass insulation back in and it muffles the sound for a while before it too burns off. putting the insulation in doesn't seem to restrict the pipe at all.

I've run both.

The amount of material inside the baffle in the biturbo altered the powerband a bit, I seemed to get the best results when I just jammed a dense amount of material at the base of the baffle, and left the rest pretty loosely packed. I dunno why, but that worked well. It rev'd out super high.

also, derestricted estoril= the shit. seems to have a long powerband that starts pretty low.

Oh yeah, and if you stuff with socks or cloth, the performance changes slightly as the material burns up. haha. Stuff it, and the performance seems to get slightly better for a few days, and then like a week later It starts running shittier and time to re-pack/ scrape ash off the stinger.
