whats next...

So I got a '75 garelli eureka flex with a polini 70cc kit. Everything but the topend is stock and currently has an 11-42 gear ratio, which will pull up 90% of the hills around here. It came with a 9-42 ratio and would rip up anything. I just got done cracking the case and replacing the oil seals...enough said, anyway I was woundering what yall suggest my next step in upgrades should be. Exhaust, carb, different gearing? I would like to increase topend a bit more without losing much torque, cause I need it around here. I was thinking exhaust, bullet/boss/bi-turbo...

Thanks

Probably the pipe should have been your first upgrade. Seeing you are coming at it back asswards then do the pipe and upgrade the carb.

Re: whats next...

yea i know i'm doing it backwards but when i bought it i didn't know it was an 18 mph, less than a horsepower, model...so it was slow as crap and wouldn't do anything around here, i looked for a 30mph topend but couldn't find one so i just kitted it. but i really was just woundering what pipe i should go with to increase topend. and which gearing would be better. i've already done a search and looked at the different pipes but i'm stuck between the three (bullet/boss/bi-turbo) or is there another one. i can do metal work so i can use any pipe.

Re: whats next...

if you run kitted with stock components .

its just a boost in torque

you could just get a carb and low end pipe .. estroli works for me

when i put my bike back to 50cc. the pipe helped me keep my low end power.

Re: whats next...

so pretty much a pipe won't give me much if any topend just a boost in torque....well so which pipe should i get, which is better, or should i just keep tuning what i got and not worry with the pipe? I'm still breaking in the kit so it's running rich right now, but i just wanted to go ahead and get a pipe so when i start fine tuning it i can do it with the pipe on it. so which pipe or should i just not worry with it cause it won't give me much?

Thanks again.
