Re: where to find silver piston bearing for con ro

be sure your connecting rod is not a brass bushing. if it is you will need an aftermarket puch crank like this

Re: where to find silver piston bearing for con ro

for all of you funny guys who do not know why I am looking for silver con rod bearing:

silver bearing is a lot stronger than normal bearing and it is recommended for high reving cylinders like Puch Gilardoni cilinder I am using the normal bearing can crack open and can mess up the cylinder

seth here is a picture of my con rod I do not know what brass bushing means

-look at the picture:

do you think that I can leave the crank stock?

I do not know the name of the firm which produced this cranck

thanx

Re: where to find silver piston bearing for con ro

unnecessary, i use a stock crank in my super high revving peugeot and it has never even given me a hint of wear, i have had my 70cc heavy ported, piped, carb, stupid fast setup for over a year now. ceramic bearings and silver shit like that are unnecessary. take good care of your motor, build it well, use the right oils and you will not have this problem, especially that you don't even have an issue to begin with, have some faith in good old steel cage, the needles will not be made of silver, just the cage, and if you think about it, the cage moves only 1-5 degrees every rotation, that is not very much.

Re: where to find silver piston bearing for con ro

well I will se probably you are rigt

the motor oil will be Motul 800 so it should be ok

I just hope that dealer gave me steel cage bearing and not plastic one :)

today I mount the tm 24 on original gilardoni Intake and tape it with duckt tape this is just temporary beacuse I want to start the motor I will show pictures tomorow
